Privacy Policy

• Account information. When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we may receive your name, email address, profile image, provider name, and provider account identifier. We do not receive your Google or GitHub password.
• Learning and coding activity. We process problem attempts, submissions, source code, test results, saved editor work, saved problem bookmarks, solved status, course progress, lesson completions, daily challenge activity, and streaks.
• Subscription information. We keep details needed to provide Premium, such as your plan, subscription identifier, status, renewal or period end date, and payment event references. PayPal processes payment credentials; impol.dev does not store full card or bank account details.
• Technical information. Servers and security systems may process IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, pages viewed, error reports, and security or diagnostic logs.
• Communications. We receive the information you include when you contact us for support, billing, privacy, or other requests.

If you participate in a leaderboard or another public ranking feature, your display name, profile image, streak, rank, and related achievement information may be visible to other users. Your email address and submitted source code are not displayed as part of the daily streak leaderboard.

• Authenticate accounts and maintain secure sessions.
• Run and evaluate code, save progress, and provide course and challenge features.
• Activate, maintain, and support Premium subscriptions.
• Personalize your progress views and keep records consistent across devices.
• Monitor reliability, prevent abuse, enforce limits, and protect the Service.
• Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
• Understand aggregate usage and improve features and performance.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as needed to perform our agreement with you, comply with law, pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the Service, and act with your consent where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

The Service uses essential cookies or similar technologies for sign-in, security, and session continuity. Browser storage may remember editor language, local drafts or test cases, and temporary checkout state so the product works as expected.

You can clear or block these technologies through your browser, but doing so may sign you out, remove locally saved work, or prevent parts of the Service from functioning.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may disclose information only as reasonably needed to:

• Work with sign-in providers such as Google and GitHub, and payment provider PayPal.
• Use cloud hosting, storage, database, content delivery, monitoring, email, and security providers, including AWS infrastructure.
• Comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests; investigate fraud or abuse; or protect users, impol.dev, and others.
• Complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of the Service, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.

Service providers may process information only for the services they provide to us and under their own applicable legal and contractual obligations.

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Some records may be kept longer when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, backup integrity, or legal compliance. Retention periods depend on the type of information and why it is processed.

impol.dev and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including authenticated access and restricted infrastructure access. No online service or storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Do not submit passwords, private keys, or other secrets in source code or support messages.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; or withdraw consent. You may also cancel Premium separately from deleting your account.

To exercise a privacy right or request account deletion, email contact@impol.dev from the address tied to your account. We may need to verify your identity. Certain information may be retained where permitted or required by law.

The Service is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age at which you can consent to online services in your location, use impol.dev only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission.

We may update this policy as the Service or legal requirements change. The date at the top will show the latest revision. Material changes may also be announced through the Service or by another appropriate method.
